Describe yourself & your personality in 150 characters:
Well, I like to help a lot. I usually try to keep busy by creating things,
whether it be art, music, or anything in between. Great social skills too!
Section 2: Experience Profile
This section tells you about my experience with communities.
Communities I have administrated/moderated in the past:
I used to co-own Lethal Gaming (DarkRP, ZRP, Z Survival, Build) - Gaming community died out over a year ago -
I own Fallen Gaming (DarkRP, ZRP) - Still up with an active Zombie Survival -
Administrated for HXG - Community died out -
Administrated for Psycho Gaming - Pretty sure that they still have a build server somewhere -
Administrated Marc's Build/War Server - Owner had a pissy fit and banned all administrators and co-owners -
My Summary of 'Zombie RP' and the basic rules in at least 150 words:
In Zombie Roleplay, you and your allies are pitted against the most daring and most challenging beings known to mankind. You have two options. Live or die. Whichever option you choose, both are a choice worth being made.
Once set in the world of Zombie Roleplay, you set out for two things. Defense armorments, and shelter from the coming onslaught. The rules not simple, but unforgiving. If you are a person that is prone to denying another player of fun, don't! RDM and mugging are not allowed!
I have found creating a summary of "Zombie Survival", while keeping it interesting, is quite a task. (And that the personality summary is 150 characters, yet this one is 150 words) Dude to this, I have added a third complete paragraph to create some filler space because I can't think of anything else to talk about. Maybe some rules. Yeah.
No RDMing (random death match)
No mugging
Do not prop push/abuse
Do not be a troll in the server
Combine and Resistance must kill each other, since they're naturally enemies
FearRP is always in effect
Do not abuse glitches or be banned
Do not crash the server (prop spamming, such)
There is NLR in effect
Any fading doors must have buttons, or keypads
How long I have played Garry's Mod: 3 years (Cumulatively over 3000 hours)
How long I have played a RP Gamemode, such as DarkRP, ZombieRP, PERP, etc.(approximately): For the better half of two years.
How long I have played at BJZRP (approximately): 3 days
How long I can play the server for per week (approximately): Upwards of 10 hours (Really depends on my schedule for the week.)
How long I pledge to play as 'Mod on Duty' for per week (approximately): At least 5 hours.
Section 3: Relationship with Users
This section tells you about how I will communicate with other users and present myself in the public.
Why is it important to give respect to our patrons, even if they don't respect you? (at least 80 words)
Because in the customer service world, patrons are potential business opportunities, and sometimes even great friendships! Plus it is always refreshing to greet/be greeted by someone with a great attitude! Just think - if you join a server, and see Administrators bashing everyone because "they don't play right", you're going to be disheartened that the server didn't live up to your expectations and ambitions, right? Don't be "that guy", and remember, be the biggest person in the situation to succeed!
Why is it important to use correct grammar in the public? (at least 60 words)
If one does not use correct grammar and punctuation in public, then what would you think of them? Usually, that person is mildly looked down upon for not even being able to form a complete and proper sentence, or perhaps even trolled. I always use (and will continue using) correct grammar and punctuation skills to be able to communicate properly.
In a democratic environment, why is it important to respect everyone's opinion? (at least 50 words)
In today's world, the ability to accept and intemperate everyone's opinion equally, and as a whole. We see the impact of this rule in today's society all the time. One person disagree's with another, the other party is angry and upset about it, and then the world trade centers collapse.
How will I aim to maintain professionalism everywhere?
I aim to promote the great qualitites in a server, and therefor will highten it's ability to create cash reveanue.
Section 4: My Past
This section discusses bans I have had in the past (if any) and what I have done to ensure that I no longer infringe upon the rules.
If you have never been punished for in game/forum offenses - please miss out this section.
How many times have you been banned/warned before?
If you have, please explain what happened.
Why I now realize that it is important to have strong knowledge of the rules and follow them religiously:
Why I am sorry, and it will not happen again:
Section 5: My knowledge of the rules
This section explains the RP rules.
What is RDM? Give an example.
Random Death Matching is when one party is a bit trigger happy, and decides to randomly start firing upon a usually un-expecting target, thus killing him/her.
Joe walks into a bar
Troll walks in behind him
Troll waits until Joe uses the restroom
Troll then follows Joe into the restroom
Troll fires his Silenced USP, and kills Joe
*RDM*
What is NLR? Give an example.
New Life Rule is a rule set in place to protect players from "interacting with the dead" so-to-speak.
Basically, you can't come back to a place you've died, until the New Life Rule timer is over.
Joe gets killed in bar bathroom
Joe wants to get revenge on Troll for killing him
Joe goes back to the bar *before* the NLR timer is up
Joe thus breaks the "New Life Rule".
What is FearRP? Give an example.
FearRP is where you value your life to the utmost extent.
Joe decides to run into a building with a brick of C4 strapped to his chest
Joe thus breaks the FearRP rule, being that a normal-sane human being would value his/her life too much to kill themself.
What is prop abuse?
Prop-killing/Prop-mingeing
What is an example of FailRP?
Advertising for another server
Basically breaking the rules
Section 6: Why I should be a staff member:
This section is me selling myself to you for my qualities and promises on how I will moderate effectively and fairly.
Why would I be unique in what I do? (80 words minimum)
Why would I be a unique addition to the BJZRP server? Well, to measure that, we must look at what I can bring to the table. I am a seasoned graphic designer/web developer, that has plans on making going to college for, and making a career out of graphic design. In my spare time (Which is a lot of time) I love to play video games such as Garry's Mod (Obviously), CS:GO, LoL, and other games. I have a lot of experience owning and administrating Garry's Mod servers, due to the fact that I am a community owner myself. I have a technologically inclined mind, and I can isolate and correct problems/issues promptly.
Why the community would appreciate & trust me in this role (100 words minimum):
I believe that the community would accept me with open arms. This is because I am free to embrace new ideas, concepts, and other meaningful tasks that are at hand. I am good with people, and I have the ability to quiet a situation (if one arises) and distribute punishment/gratuity properly.
I want to gain trust through showing it, not by saying that I can - because anyone can do that. It takes a great leader to manage an army, but the army is only as good as it's weakest link. I, my good sir, am not that weak link.
If I could make a change to BJZRP, it would be:
Increasing the amount of ways one is able to get money.
Any other comments, etc:
I really like your server, and I am willing to put time and effort into showing that.
Thank you for your consideration,
Shayn (FG - AbsolutePower)
